Colleen Hinckley Maxwell Dies at Age 87

Colleen Hinckley Maxwell, wife of the late Elder Neal A. Maxwell of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died in Salt Lake City, Utah, 17 January 2016 at the age of 87.

Sister Maxwell was born on April 8, 1928 in Salt Lake City and was a first cousin to the late President Gordon B. Hinckley, the 15th president of the Church.

She married Neal A. Maxwell on Nov. 22, 1950. Elder Maxwell died 21 July 2004 after an eight-year battle with leukemia.

The Maxwells had four children, 24 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.

Cory Maxwell, one of their children, is currently serving as Mission President of the Australia, Melbourne Mission of the Church.
