A non-denominational video message for Mother's Day, produced in association with several faith groups, was posted this week on the Church website, LDS.org. The video reminds people everywhere of the importance of the family unit and the unique and heaven-inspired gift of motherhood.
According to Church president, Thomas S. Monson, "Men turn from evil and yield to their better natures when mother is remembered....One cannot forget mother and remember God. One cannot remember mother and forget God. Why? Because these two sacred persons, God and mother, partners in creation, in love, in sacrifice, in service, are as one."
