Aussie Mormons Share Their Stories in Mormon.org Profiles

It’s been over three years since Mormon.org 4.0 launched with 2,000 profiles. Today, over 120,000 Mormons have created profiles, with another 100,000 in process, sharing why they are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Sarah Osmotherly is an Aussie country girl who is the life of the party. But a call from her daughter prompted Sarah to embrace a quieter life at home instead.

 

Years after conquering the game of squash, Mormon world champion Leilani Rorani learned that conquering the challenges of life requires a different type of perfection.

 

Blind, Mormon guitarist Lorin Nicholson rode a bike from Perth to Sydney, but he didn't see the country. He heard, felt, and smelled it. To him it was beautiful.

 

Grant Leeworthy is an Australian abalone hunter, fishery scientist, former rock-n-roller, and family man. Above all, he's a believer in a God who made the world around us.

 

By age 18, Will Hopoate was a professional rugby player. But he put his dreams on hold to serve a 2 year Mormon mission. He saw it as a chance to thank God for his blessings. Will, now returned from his mission, is again playing professional rugby and has a calling in the church.
