Day 24 #LightTheWorld: Ye Must Watch and Pray Always

Prayer is the simple communication between God the Father and His beloved children. God has promised to answer the prayers of those who humbly ask.

President Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints counseled, “Often the answer to our prayer does not come while we’re on our knees but while we’re on our feet serving the Lord and serving those around us. Selfless acts of service and consecration refine our spirits, remove the scales from our spiritual eyes, and open the windows of heaven. By becoming the answer to someone’s prayer, we often find the answer to our own.”

Like the wiseman watched the heavens for the sign of the Heavenly Prince to come, we can watch and pray for opportunities to serve our fellowmen. We can help “Light the World” for someone else and as we do, we will find that His light has grown brighter within us and our burdens are lighter because of Him.

If you have felt the peace of our Saviour’s love for you and others this Christmas season, we invite you to continue to follow His teachings and #LightTheWorld through the coming year.
