Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Christchurch are using Facebook and email to share information with each other as well as to inspire those who need a lift.
Online photos, links to videos, articles and messages are keeping Canterbury Latter-day Saints connected and helping them identify who needs help and how to lend a hand.
With all four Latter-day Saint chapels out of action due to the 22 February quake, Church members are finding other 'places to gather,' to stay in touch across the faith community.
This week, a message posted by psychologist Michael Satele let people in the area know that three counsellors, all members of the Church, were available to meet with anyone who needed to talk through their experiences and feelings.
Satele wrote on Facebook that he and his fellow professional counsellors would be meeting with "large and/or small groups of people to help debrief regarding trauma and stress. Anyone welcome to come. The meetings can be held in members homes, anywhere, anytime."
