Interfaith Network Hosts Tour

The Brimbank and Maribymong Interfaith Network hosted their quarterly worship bus tour on Sunday 12th June 2016.  Attendees visited the Australian Bosnian Islamic Centre and the Deer Park Stake Centre of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The participants were greeted by the young men of the Deer Park Ward who ushered them into the Sunday meetings.  Afterwards they were given a guided tour of the Church building and treated to a lunch prepared by the Burnside Ward.

Chairperson of the interfaith network, Barry Palta said, “I just love visiting the different places of worship and learning about their beliefs.  I really enjoyed visiting both the Christian church and the Islamic Mosque on that day.  It was a unique opportunity to see diversity and multiculturalism in these faith communities and to learn about their beliefs and practices.”
