Day 7 #LightThe World: Suffer The Little Children to Come Unto Me

One learns of the great love Jesus has for little children as we read in the Bible, how Jesus taught, "Suffer the little children to come unto me."  As they came to Him, "he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them." Mark 10:14,16.

In The Family: A Proclamation to the World issued in 1995, we are reminded that "Children are an heritage of the Lord" (Psalm 127:3) and that, "Parents have a sacred duty to rear their children in love and righteousness, to provide for their physical and spiritual needs and to teach them to love and serve one another, observe the commandments of God, and be law-abiding citizens whereever they live."

President Thomas S. Monson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints declares, "I think it significant that Jesus loved these little ones who so recently left the preexistence to come to earth. Children then and children now bless our lives, kindle our love, and prompt our good deeds."

Jesus loved little children. We can brighten the life of a child simply by taking the time to show that we care.
